Anyone know the optimal growing conditions for a pitaya? I've seen pictures where they "have grown" several feet in a period of months (taking over entire balconies). I've had one in the ground for over two months and it has one new limb, that's twice the thickness of the orignal plant but has barely grown in the past month. Of course the easy bloom does not cover this plant.
