i would like to take say first of all the easybloom is a awesome tool for all gardeners. the only problem im having with it is that my plants need a dormant period for a long healthy life. like my flytraps and my pitcher plants. i now have my pygmy sundews outside too. thay are really liking this temp that we are having in 7b. but the easybloom is telling me that it is to cold for my plants. but for the time of year and the temps are just rite for long term plant growth. even my D. filiformis filiformis is really looking good for going into the dormant stage. so the question is is there a way to get a few up dates for dormant times? i mean it only makes sense to add dormant stage if you your wanting to keep the plant for the full life span of the plant. some of my plants can live up to 70 years. so in order to have this thay have to go dormant. my red dragon is only 5 years long. so getting to the freezing temps for these plants is a must.
Hi Thomas! Matt the Botanist here. You clearly have an astute eye for carnivorous plants and their environmental needs. The plants you mention (sundew, flytraps, and pitcher plants) were not entered correctly in our database. Thanks to your attention, our botanists are fixing the database right now, so the temperature problem will be fixed the next time we update the EasyBloom code. We really appreciate expert users like you pointing out where we fail. It helps us fix problems before they impact too many people! Thanks again!
