Changes to Find That Plant

Just got this tool and love it. Two requests: - add light requirements to the filter in Find That Plant (sun, part sun, etc) - Under special features, add filter for plants that are tolerant of wet soils or poor drainage Having this would help me easily find plants for my mess of a yard.
Hey Ara...These look like great ideas...Thanks for the feedback...Robby
ALSO, please add ZONE to the filter. I don't want to find 100 plants that I can't plant. Thanks.
I desperately want both of these features on Find That Plant! Light requirements are THE most important factor when selecting plants. And of course Zone! what use are plants that can be grown in Florida to someone who lives in Alaska? LOL. Thanks so much! I love this product!
Would also help to have a choice of evergreen or deciduous. But ZONE and LIGHT are no brainers!!
Could you fix the "Find a Plant" to "find" something you already planted and the seed packet blew/disentegrated away?? :( I have some I planted that are beauties, but no one knows what they are. Several people have them, but none know what they are.
Hi Sherrie, did you try to use "Find a Plant" and enter the properties of the plant that had its tag disintegrate? I've used it successfully on a few of my plants? If not can you tell us a bit more about what you would like from the feature?
for me i would like to see zone. and more types of carnivorous plants. seeing that is what im growing. the easybloom is giving me allot of good data. but the problem im running into is that you only have the caped sundew. i am growing a few capes. but i have more than just that. i also have allot of American sundews. if you would like i can help out on the plants im growing. if you would like some pitchers and what nots. but i can only give growing tips for 7b.
Thomas - Laurel Lee here, Product Manager at PlantSense. Thanks so much for your interest and participation. YES, Zone does make absolute sense for “Find that Plant.” We agree with that perspective for sure – and it’s on our list of things to do (your vote helps!) And YEA – good to meet another carnivorous plant lover – we have a Venus Fly Trap and a Pitcher plant in our office and love them. Please DO send us a photo or two (if you’re comfortable publishing your photos on the site), with the species name, and we may use them as we add more of these little wonders. We add plants intermittently and I’ve just added “more carnivorous plants -"Cape Sundew” on the list. We’ll credit your name to any photos we use from you (and we'll keep your name in case we have questions). Thanks!
Awesome. We might need to wait until spring. Allot of my plants are starting to go dormant, like my Florida Giant. If you would like once they have gone fully dormant I can send pics of them as will. That might help a few people at the beginner stages.
