Lorapetalun Chin v Rubrum, a common shrub in the central Texas area. At least that is the name on the plant tags. I have 12 of them on my lot. Are these names correct, or do they go by another name in your data base?
Hey John...That's a good question. It's funny that the label simply had Chin on it. That's actually short for either 'chinense' or 'chinensis'. I've seen it labeled both ways. Also, you missed an 'o' in the first part of the name. Check out Loropetalum in our database. The official name on EasyBloom.com is Loropetalum chinense. The 'v Rubrum' portion of your plant tag refers to the variety called 'Rubrum', which basically means red. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for dropping us a line...Robby
