remote sensing

it would be great to wirelessly connect to the sensor so you could check the reading without removing from the plant...
I was just thinking this! I ordered my Easy Bloom today, so I don't have it yet, but it does not look like it's got a wireless capability. Maybe y'all could develop a separate add-on that could make use of the USB cord that comes with the Easy Bloom that would be safe to leave in the yard but also communicate wirelessly without a computer? You might need to provide another USB dongle thingie for the computer that's home to the software so it would know which computer (in a house full of them) to connect to.
This is something I would really like to see the EasyBloom incorporate in its future designs. Being able to receive live feed back at any time would be great. That way I can check how my plants are doing while I'm on vacation or I don't have to trudge out into the pouring rain and retrieve my sensor to see if my plants I'm monitoring like the rain. Great suggestion, Mary. -Nick

Great idea! Have it with wireless capabilities (like to an access point) and be able to get info from it - or better yet - have it send the info directly to my account online using my WAP and internet service.
WAP service would likely have a charge to it, and kill your battery life, but I could see the wifi option. Make it so you turn on the computer walk out press a button and it feeds the data over to the computer and just keeps recording after that.
We love the idea of wireless for its obvious convenience. Thanks for your votes - we hear you! For those longing for remote, a question to you: How would it be if it worked SOME of the time, but other times, you needed to go out and get the sensor?

that's more about what are you growing. with me and my plants, im out there as much as i can. lol i cant help it. i love my bug eating plants. but i have to make sure that thay are not over eating and looking for the bad part of having the dead stuff just laying around. so for me, i could go either way. yes it would be nice to have it wireless. this away i could just set it where i want it, then just leave it there. the more i think about it the more i like the idea. but again im with my outside plants all of the time when im not working. on my work days im out there twice a day. so in short one would have to ask themslefs, what are you growing, is this senser going to give you all of the data you would need to just leave you'r plants alone? for me the answer is no. but im not growing roese eather.
