Do I need to exactly match...

the name of the plant I buy to the one recommended by my EasyBloom? In one case, EasyBloom recommended Amethyst Violets, but I planted another type of violets as they were all that were readily available. Of course, I recycled the box with the name of the plant on it before I realized I planted the wrong thing. Am I doomed? lol
Yikes, lol, I actually planted a type of pansy instead of a violet, which wasn't recommended at all. Oh well, it still asks for partial shade and pretty moist soil, so maybe it will be sort of OK. At least I figured out how to bookmark it EasyBloom on my iPhone, so I won't make the same mistake again.
Hey Dalia...You have some very good questions. First off, I will answer the easy one. You planted pansies instead of violets. Fortunately, both pansies and violets are common names for the same plant. :) This is why the use of common names alone can be confusing. Sometimes there are more than one common name for a plant or one common name can represent several plants. The common names, pansy and violet, represent plants in the genus Viola. Now, as for you possibly doomed violets, I would not be too worried. Different cultivars of the same species will often have very similar cultivation needs. There may be some slight discrepancies, but once again, the EasyBloom system is truly geared to having thriving plants. If there is a slight discrepancy, your plant may not be robust, but it will most likely still survive. I hope this helps you out. Happy Gardening!!! --Robby
Nice! Thanks. : )
