upgrade problem

I opened the package and hooked the sensor up to Mac air, upgrade started immediately and went on for 15 mins with message not to interrupt on screen. It seemed like a long upgrade to me. I disconnected but orange light on sensor continued to blink.I couldn't turn it off. I removed battery and replaced but blinking light resumed. I connected it to pc but message came on to return to other machine. I connected it to Mac again, orange light continued to blink. Eventually, it stopped blinking after a couple of interruptions and won't come back on, even with a new battery. What should I do now. I'm waiting to hear from tech support. Thanks
