I used my EasyBloom for the first time yesterday and got a reading indicating lots of sunshine in one area of the garden. However, there's a tree nearby that will leaf out and cast a lot of shade in a few weeks. I'd like to plant some early veggies that take quite a bit of sun. Should I wait until trees have leafed out fully before trying to get accurate sunlight readings?
Good question. We recommend that in situations like yours, take readings at multiple times a year. I've heard from other customers who have cut back tree limbs based on their Sunlight reading, using the EasyBloom to get a "before" and "after" picture of their yard. The Plants View graphs are very helpful to see when and how sun is hitting a spot.
