Technical Help » Chirping/Chiming in Monitor Mode
I would like my EasyBloom to monitor my Dwarf Meyer Lemon. I set it to Monitor, place the EB in the planter, only to have it start chiming/chirping a few hours later. When I plug the EB into my computer, it gives a soil rating (thumbs up), but says it has insufficient data for sun and temp. Well, shouldn't it monitor for a bit longer before it starts chiming/chirping??? This is annoying. Please help.

I forgot to mention that I watered the plant when I placed the EB in the planter, so I don't think it's chirping/chiming because the soil is dry . . .. Thanks!

Hi Kathie, As a rule the EasyBloom sensor's siren only goes off when your soil moisture is below the recommended threshold for that plant. My suspicion is that you either did not water all the way down to the root zone, or that your soil may be so sandy that the water drains too quickly. As for the thumbs up you alluded to, the soil indicator is actually just referring to how well your soil drains. Also, any feedback you may get before the 24 hours are up is not reliable and should not be used to diagnose your plant. Sorry for the inconvenience. Let me know if you have any further questions! Cheers, Noam / EasyBloom Support

The only problem I have with the easy bloom is that I am a little hard of hearing and the chirping/chiming isn't loud enough. Is there any way to increase the voume.
A suggestion for a better user experience would be to mention the issue of fast soil drainage to the monitoring results. I reset my EB a couple times thinking it was a bug when maybe I could have learned right away that the soil is draining too fast. Forums are nice for asking questions, but they are only so-so at finding answers. But thanks for giving extra guidance.
