Technical Help » Will I be able to get more info...
You can see our "What's New" any time, it's here: http://www.easybloom.com/promo/whatsnew.html
Thanks for the reply, so are there going to be up dates in the future? If so where should I look for them?
Hi Tim, I'm glad you're using your EasyBloom so much! Thanks for your feature suggestion. For the Light Intensity, I think you'll find this FAQ helpful: http://easybloom.com/learn/faqs.html#26
Good morning, I am using the easy bloom in several areas of the yard. I will continue to use it threw out the year to get an idea of year round conditions in various arias. My question is, with there be updates to the program, in particular the sun / time charts. It would be very helpful to be able to look at a specific time / light level. An example would be like the slider stock trading charts. Also is there a quantifier for the "intensity" of light. Thanks Tim
Technical Help » How accurate are sunlight readings in early spring?
Good question. We recommend that in situations like yours, take readings at multiple times a year. I've heard from other customers who have cut back tree limbs based on their Sunlight reading, using the EasyBloom to get a "before" and "after" picture of their yard. The Plants View graphs are very helpful to see when and how sun is hitting a spot.
Technical Help » How accurate are sunlight readings in early spring?
I used my EasyBloom for the first time yesterday and got a reading indicating lots of sunshine in one area of the garden. However, there's a tree nearby that will leaf out and cast a lot of shade in a few weeks. I'd like to plant some early veggies that take quite a bit of sun. Should I wait until trees have leafed out fully before trying to get accurate sunlight readings?
The EasyBloom can hold up to three weeks of data. After that, the data will wrap (overwrite the oldest). We need at least 24 hours to get a "plant's view" of a day.
Technical Help » Maximum hours recorded in Recommend mode?
It says 24 hours, but I'm just curious how long one could leave an EasyBloom in place to monitor an area before recommendations are made. I just uploaded my first data and noted that it covered two days because I forgot about it. Up to how many hours/days can it record and hold data before uploading?
Technical Help » Sunlight accuracy in Seattle WA
I tested again today, it was very sunny out. I got 2 hrs of moderate and 6 hours between bright and strong. I was worried about the low "E" windows that I had installed last winter were killing off all my plants. thanks very much Randy
Technical Help » Sunlight accuracy in Seattle WA
Hey Randy...EasyBloom does adjust for cloudy days or unusually sunny days in areas that have been historically cloudy. I will tell you that the longer you let the sensor take measurements the better the results will be. I also want to point out that even "sunny" windows that are south- or west- facing can have deceivingly low light. Full sun is defined by 6 or more hours of direct sunlight. I wouldn't be surprised if you found that your south- or west- facing windows were receiving less than that. My recommendation would be to give it another go, but keep in mind that even the sunniest spots indoors will never receive as much light as a sunny outdoor location. I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any further questions. Cheers...Dr. Robby
