Propagation is extremely easy with the species C. comosum. The Spider Plant produces miniature copies of the mother plant on the ends of long stems. These daughter plants can be planted in pots.
Relative of the lily that is generally grown as a houseplant due to its sensitivity to frost. Some species will grow as tall as 3 ft.
White, 6-petaled flowers are borne in long clusters in summer.
Grows in any soil. Water freely during the growing season, moderately at other times.
Fertilization is not generally required for good plant output.
